Visit an Antique Arcade or Mall

For your next weekend getaway, why don’t you choose the local antique arcade or mall. Your local antique arcade is a great place to find those discarded treasures that would go great in your antique collection. Antique arcades s are filled with a multitude of items that have either been discarded or have been handed down and then sold at auction, such as when someone dies. The antique arcade can complete your collection. You just have to find one.

These days there is usually some form of antique arcade in most local areas. . Antique arcades  are a line of stores who each sell antique goods. They are sort of like a flea market or a swap meet. There’s no limit to the amount or types of items you’ll find at an antique arcade. There’s lots of treasures to be found. You should be able to find one near you. Search your local yellow pages or check the internet.

Prices Are Often Negotiable

When visiting an antique arcade or mall, remember that the price tag is only a suggestion. Many of these shop owners will haggle with you on the price. You could get it for cheaper; all you have to do is ask. It is also worth remembering that many of the stand owners are only part time antique dealers who do it as a sideline to their main business or job. This often means they are not as experienced or as knowledgeable as the full time dealers and because of this bargains can often be found. Of course, the really valuable and rare pieces may not be negotiable when it comes to price. Ask the shop owner and see if you can get a good deal. Often times, the piece as been in the store for so long, the shop keeper just wants to get rid of it. It never hurts to ask and doing so may save you loads of money in the long run.

Someone Is Always Looking For Something

An antique arcade is a great way for you to sell your own antiques or even barter. If you have a few pieces in your collection that you either aren’t very fond of or would just like to discard, take them to the mall and see if they’ll buy them. Or, trade them out for another piece to add to your collection. Whether it be furniture, tools, dolls or whatever else has been passed down through the generations, someone is always looking for something.

An antique arcade is an interesting place to visit. Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s still fun to shop around to see what old things you might be able to see. These kinds of malls really prove that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. When you first visit an antique arcade you may be a little overwhelmed by the quantity of items on display and it can be very easy to miss some items. It pays to take your time looking and when I visit an antique arcade I often walk around two or three times just to make sure I have not missed anything.
